Fourteen applications for innovation funding of the clinical guidelines were accepted in Germany

On April 22, 2024, the Innovation Committee at the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) announced that fourteen applications for innovation funding of development or further development of the clinical guidelines were accepted.

  • The fourteen applications that were accepted concerned the following topics:
  • Further development of guidelines for the care of more common diseases with particular consideration of gender-specific aspects: 6;
  • Development and further development of guidelines for care for more common diseases, with particular consideration of the use of digital technologies and the need for information when using digital technologies: 1;
  • Further development of guidelines with regular updates in the future (Living Guidelines): 3;
  • Care related to the desire to have children, pregnancy, and childbirth: 4.

In total, the Innovation Committee received 27 applications for its funding announcement of June 30, 2023, with amendments of November 16, 2023.

The initial overview of the new projects is expected to be published on the Innovation Committee's website in May 2024.
